The Ulfar do not have a “true” nation. The nomadic barbarians tribes, called “packs” instead inhabit the northernmost region of Alteria and Tarsys. The packs are nomadic and follow various herds of animals throughout the seasons. At least once a year, the packs gather at what is known as the The Great Den. The Ulfar are a primitive people, still lacking the knowledge of forging steel. All Ulfar items are still stoneage, rock, wood, leather, etc. What the Ulfar lack in technology, they more than make up for with raw physical might and an almost unmatched ferocity and bloodlust. Each pack has it’s alpha, and at least one shaman. Almost all Ulfar are loyal to their packs to a fault. It is not uncommon for an Ulfar pack to contain Worg or even the rare Winterwolf. These are never thought of as beasts, merely another member of the pack. The Shadowfang pack is even led by a large black Worg named Mer’ruk. The Ulfar also utilize normal wolves as pets and hunting companions. And native only to the Ulfar lands are the giant wolves. Not dire wolves (those are a more primitive and dangerous species), the giant wolves are no different than a normal wolf, save they are big enough for a grown man to ride with ease. Ulfar despise arcane magic, viewing it as an abomination against Marulf. She grants them divine magic, any other form is stolen from dark forces and thus is forbidden. Ulfar also belive that the written word is a form of dark magic, thoughts stolen and kept for evil purposes. Thus writing is forbidden.
